After graduating from the University of Cincinnati King joined the USF&G Insurance Companies in an underwriting training roll. After two years King then joined Schiff Kreidler Shell, first as a sales associate then as Vice President for 22 years. After the sale of SKS, King went south to work for St Johns Insurance Agency in Florida for 10 years. King has recently returned to Ohio to join the Driehaus Insurance Group as a Producer. King currently holds the AAI and CIC insurance designations.
